A downloadable game for Windows, Linux, and Android

The original Bounce game from Nokia S40 / S80 phones remade with Godot 4.2.2

This remake is not 100% accurate, some notable differences:

  • A new UI was created as the original used the built-in Nokia interface
  • Physics is  different from the original, but close enough to replicate a good enough experience
  • The resolution is slightly wider, and the game runs at a higher framerate
  • Levels were recreated as close as possible, but the initial location of spiders (moving spikes) is not taken into account
  • Additional level packs (12-21) were not added

Controls:

  • WASD/Arrow Keys - Movement
  • W/Up/Space - Jump
  • ESC - Quit level
  • 9 - No Damage Mode
  • 0 - Skip Level

Assets taken from The Spriters Resource, submitted by Adrot.

SFX recorded from the game running on an emulator.

Hey there. Did you end up figuring out how to add the extra levels to the game?

Hey! Here is the thing, I only know about those levels from the Wikipedia article. There is a link to an archived page with a download for the levels. I downloaded them and tried many things to install them to the original game's .jar archive (like replacing existing levels with new levels) but I couldn't get it to work.

However, looking at the archived page again, it looks like those levels were for a different version of the game, not the one I am remaking.

If you or anyone else knows how to play those extra levels (if they even exist for this version) I'd be happy to add them to the remake.

Excellent port! Thanks so much! Really enjoyed!

5 balls out of 5!

Thanks!! I had a blast making it too!

  • Additional level packs (12-21) were not added

Were they downloadable in original Bounce? I checked the mobile jar but didn't find such, maybe had too old version.

According to the wiki they were downloadable, but I couldn't find a way to access them. I was using J2ME as well.

Thanks so much for info! I need to get the jar which had that downloadable option. Maybe through webarchive possible to get them.
Also noticed you even added the cheat aswell! Excellent!
